To The Batcave.....

Batman is my favorite superhero and always has been. He represents a great many things to me. He teaches kids and teens alike morals and virtues. The Dark Knight has always been my hero, and even though I know now that he isn't exactly a flesh and blood hero, the ideas and person he represents are real. For decades now, Batman has brought the same joy and heroism to generation after generation. His popularity never dies and the future looks even brighter. The films have ranged from great to awful, with the last installment a complete travesty.  Joel Shumacher may actually be Batman's worst arch-enemy!  But with Warners getting the point, and returning our favorite hero to his dark roots, they will fix all that in Part Five. Batman Returns was the closet to the animated series visually, and I loved the story but many people hated it, thinking it was too dark. It still remains one of my favorite portrayals of the dark knight ever, as you can see from my review section. The comics are still huge and the new toys sell out everywhere.  There will always be a Batman. And, with luck, there will always be some of Batman in all of us.

FOR BATMAN CREATOR BOB KANE...

Batman and Robin are the true Dynamic Duo in "The Adventures Of Batman And Robin" from Warner Animation.  Many of these classic animated shows are available on video from Warner Home Video and also many are repeated during the new Batman/Superman Adventure Hour. The show, renamed from Batman: The Animated Series, has retained it's good writing and excellent animation style while the films that inspired it have dwindled with each installment.

THE 60's TV SERIES:
I grew up watching reruns of the old Batman TV show. Adam West and Burt Ward were Batman and Robin. I'd rush home after school and stay up late on weekends for the show, loving everything about it!!! Adam has his own bat-site listed BELOW, go check it out!

Currently on the Kids' WB Network, the Batman / Superman Adventures Hour is incredible entertainment, with Batman sporting a darker look, much like his 40's comic style. I love the retro look and think it fits him perfectly.

I am vengeance. I am the night. I am Batman.
